How our past shapes our present

Headquartered in Northfield, Illinois, Medline has operated in the Chicagoland area for 100+ years. Our history dates back to 1910, when A.L. Mills, who made butchers’ aprons, began helping a local hospital by sewing surgeons’ gowns and nursing uniforms. Mills’ grandsons would go on to found Medline in 1966.

Today, employees at our eight Chicago-area facilities are helping us make a positive impact in healthcare. We distribute more than 300,000 medical products across the continuum of care.
